Om creation- Rehabilitation for mentally challenged women

All information presented here correspond to pre-merger entity of Capital First Ltd. Information is subject to change post merger w.e.f. 18 December 2018.

In our efforts to support programs which integrate persons with disabilities into mainstream society, IDFC FIRST Bank in partnership with Om creations provides skill-based rehabilitation for mentally challenged women in the age group of 20-60 years.

Program Details

The objective of this program is to promote and provide livelihood opportunities for mentally challenged women towards development of their mental, physical and moral being and making them contributing members of society.

Our Support

The grant assistance provided by us is being used towards supporting the monthly stipend for each of the young adults for their work and commitment at the workshop. This monthly stipend goes beyond being an acknowledgment of their efforts. It stands for their self-perseverance, their independence and in some cases also as an amount their families can depend on.
We are supporting 60 such women who receive training and rehabilitation and are being gainfully occupied in the areas of Art & Craft and Catering. Under the guidance and supervision of specialized teachers and professionals, these young adults are engaged in the production of quality lifestyle products and food which are put up for sale. Their chosen activity works as sustained therapy and a means of earning in an environment sensitive to their special requirements.
